Last week, we had the chance to host the one and only Jeff Jordan for a SV Icons Dinner. Jeff is one of the most accomplished people in Silicon Valley, and at the same time, the most humble and down-to-earth person.
His career is one that many books can be written about. He was an executive at Disney and eBay. He led PayPal and took OpenTable public during the 2008 - 2009 financial crisis. He was also one of the early General Partners at Andreessen Horowitz and led investments in Airbnb, Instacart, Pinterest, and many more industry-defining companies - all of which he still holds board seats at.
Jeff is not only a tech icon, but he is also a pop culture sensation — thanks in no small part to his passion for basketball, and his pick-up game that has been featured on the TV show “Silicon Valley”!
Jeff is the “Marketplace King”. No other investor out there has a better combination of operational and investment expertise. The dinner was off-script, confidential, and fun. We learned a ton about marketplaces, investing, life, and culture.
